"It's the Truth," swears
USC Freshman Dental Student
Doctor Danny Dentation,
as he tells some Friends in
the USC
Ostrow Lunch Room,
"We had our
'White Coat Ceremony, and
they are
starting to call
all of Us
in our Class,
'Doctors!'...
...Which is really
'Cool,' you know!"
Doctor Dentation
continues,
"So we start our classes,
which
last All Day...to get
knowledgable
in all the
needed Sciences!"
"Then, over the next few weeks,
we break off into
Study Groups,
and we are paired
up with a
partner and
I get
paired up with a real 'Cutie Pie,'
named
Doctor Len!
And, after some weeks of class,
I ask her,
"What kind of
Dentistry
in the Mouth
do You want to Practice?"
And she says,
"I'm not exactly sure...yet...it's
still My Freshman Year!...But I do like
treating Kids!"
"What do you plan on doing,"
she
asks...
"I like treating
Things in the Mouth,
but
I want to get into the
more
Mechanical and
Digital Side of things!"
"You mean like 'Robotic
Dentistry?'"
"Yeah!...That's
it, Doctor Len!...
...I want to specialize in
'Dental Robotics!"
he shares.
"Wow!...that's really
Forward Thinking, Doctor Dentation,
however...
...I wonder...
will Robots
take jobs away from
Dentists?"
she asks.
"No, I don't think so...I think
that Dentists will still
need to control
the Robots
in their Treatments...
The Bots will help us do
more exacting work!...Just
think of Robots
as another part of
our Armamentarium...Plus,
Robots don't have
that
'Magical Charisma like
me," he giggles!
And that makes Doctor Len laugh
out loud!
"Hey, Doctor Len!...Can I ask You
a question?" I ask Her.
"Sure...You can ask!"
"Well, Valentine's Day is coming up
and
I'd like to know
if
You and Your Parents Might Like
some
Chocolate-covered Strawberries?"
"Sure...That's their Favorite," Doctor Len
lets on, as her smile
lights up
even
more, "Let's get together
at My Parent's Place on Valentine's Day!...You are
the first person that they
are meeting from
My School!"
So, Valentine's Day Comes,
and Doctor Dentation
meets Doctor Len's Parents!...And he
finds out that
Doctor Len's Dad
has a Doctorate in
'Signal Processing Engineering!'
And they
'Hit It Off,' real good
because
Doctor Dentation has a
an Undergraduate Degree in
'Signal Processing!'
So her Dad says,
"I guess it's okay
to ask my Doctor Daughter if
you want her to be Your Valentine...
but I don't know how
she will Answer!"
So, Doctor Dentation turns and asks Doctor Len,
"Will You be My Valentine?"
And she answers, "Of Course,"
with a short
kiss on the Cheek!
Then,
Doctor Dentation laughs and talks with
Doctor Len's Family
for a while more, then he goes Home!...
"So," Doctor Dentation tells his friends
the next week
in the
Ostrow Lunch Room,
"I'm good friends with
the 'Prettiest
Pre-Doctoral Dental Student in the Whole Class'...
...and You're not, you Guys!...
...Ha ha ha!...
...How you like
'Them Apples?...Huh?"
